Purposes & Scope of the Role:
Manage a defined group of product category to satisfy the needs of customers and achieve sales, stock and profit targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Major Duties:
- Be responsible for “the target of Sales”, Margin, Later Income, Old Stock, Potential Old Stock, Turn-over day, Stock Day’s, Private Brand Share, Core Customer Share, Stock Correction & Availability.
- Manage the performance of a defined product category effectively in terms of pricing, promotion, products assortment, quality of products, planning and allocation.
- Supplier management, negotiation of payment terms, rebates etc.
- Work with Customer Management Team (Marketing team) to propose the regular promotion plan of Groups to ensure that the range fully reflects the Core Target Group needs in terms of the complete offer.
- Research, analyse and evaluate the market to identify customer’s needs and product/range opportunities.
- Develop a range assortment that delivers Competitive Advantage in the Vietnamese Market.
- Be fully responsible for the development and implementation of Private Brand Strategy within the Category.
- Ensure that the Pricing Strategy is fully in place and understood by Suppliers.
- Design and implement Merchandising Plano-grams delivering right space allocation and achieve the best productivity of each gondola.
- Ensure clear communication and understanding of any action taken that impact on the Customer or Stores with Operations.
- Achieve Commercial Key Performance Indicator
- Identify the most effective/cost efficient means of delivering product to the store. Follow the designated Import process.
- Re-assess article performance on a regular basis to identify and deal with any old stock.
- Proactively evaluate and act on results of promotional activities to implement any key learning points.
- Maintain effective internal communication channels particularly with other Merchandising team, operations, sales & marketing, logistics and other functions within the organisation
- Ensure that all necessary information and documentation is passed to supporting staff, and all necessary admin tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.

Primary Objective:
– Work for Visual Merchandising strategy planning and execution in the Northern stores, ensure store’s visual appearance is maintained to the highest standard, at all times.
– Execute the tasks for store layout, Visual Merchandising Display, and VMD training program.
Key Activities:
– Implementation and maintenance visual merchandise standards for the Northern stores.
– Assist in VMD Training program
– Implementation for New store Opening and Renovation plan.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Implementation and maintenance visual merchandise standards for the Northern stores (70%):
- Understand the concept of Aeon’s Sales floor, store’s layout, display and products.
- Daily store checking and support to ensure, maintain Visual Merchandising Display (VMD) standards on Sales floor.
- Monitoring the progress of VMD work and the implementation of the Operation team.
- Ensuring uniformity of merchandising display across multiple store locations (Ha Noi’s, Hai Phong’s stores…)
- Support Operation team in changing VMD to promote new product launches or to reflect festive or seasonal themes, changing monthly layout, mannequin styling, color theme…
- Cooperate with other related departments in Ha Noi office, including Merchandiser, Operation team… collect and report necessary information about specific categories and promotion in the Northern stores.
- Seek feedback from stores and customers on the visual impact of displays and of the changes implemented.
- Measure and report the VMD results across multiple store locations at a certain period of time.
- Manage and maintain VMD tools, Mannequins, display fixture and decorative items.
2. Assist in VMD Trainning program (15%)
- OJT: Regular weekly visit to all stores to train and guide Operation team on basic display skills.
- OFF JT: – Cooperate and work effectively with other related Department in the North (Admin, HR, Operation Team…) to arrange reasonable training schedule for stores.
– Prepare VMD training course at each store, keep tracking and evaluate the results after the training progress.
– Prepare and maintain training tools, materials for training class (Mannequin, sample products, printing documents). Prepare & arrange areas on sale floor for practical.
– Maintaining, and entering information into databases
3. Implementation for New store Opening and Renovation (10%):
- Understand the VMD concept, implement visual display for New store Opening and Renovation plan according to VMD plan.
- Support planning for new store Visual Merchandising. New ideas to enhance the merchandise and store value.
4. Others (5%):
- Research lifestyle, trends, survey competitors in the Northern market and report survey results.
- Other tasks as needed to ensure all works is performed efficiently and effectively
Qualification and Job Requirements:
- University degree
- Previous retail experience, have experience as a visual merchandiser or similar role.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about Fashion/ Display. Working on fashion area or retailers which is similar to AEON’s business nature can be a plus.

- Make sure the store’s accounting department complies with the regulations on cash, vouchers, sold tape management
- Control the collection of COD, deposit, excess money of cashiers, do not let the situation of loss happen.
- Complete report timely
- Monitor voucher delivery according to upcoming promotion schemes.
- Check report of VAT invoices to ensure accurate reflection on the system.

- Keep track of licenses and certificates so they don’t expire
- Timely grasp the situation of machinery damage to quickly handle and track the progress and repair history of each machine.

+ To ensure Store staffs to gain and understand fully information of HR issues, join HR activities

+ To coordinate with HR HQ to implement HR tasks (Recruitment, Training, C&B, Performance, Labor Safety…)
